Your Tears are the gift which cleanse your Soul
And as they fall the pain that weeps down from your depths is slowly emptied
The vessel of your cup has become full, and no more water can be contained
And so must it be that your tears should flow
And should your cup have cracks, then the tears would flow more often, and never would your cup be full
And the more they drip the lesser your pain
For a rug that is lifted daily brings minimal dust
And one that is kept asleep awakes with clouds of painful smog.
As Oceanwater the tears are salted with your Light
As speckles of glitter that sparkle with the waves
And whilst the pain of the taste of the sea overwhelms your tongue
The very salt contained is golden to your food
And brings about the shimmering beauty of the flavour within
And the reflection of the sun on your cheeks bring healing to your Soul
The streams of warpaint glistening on your face
Are testament to the breaking of your waves
So that they may be gently pulled back to the Sea
Like clouds drifting softly by the air on the backdrop of the Sky
And when the torrent of the cycle brings it back
The force of nature cleanses once again
In pain, but with the intention of your healing
In the way saltwater brings pain upon your wounds
And every time the waves crash down upon the shore
The wounds that are ripped from the Soul are forever lost
And dripped into the Cup that loses all of its domain
In the forgotten and endless mist that flows above the shore
And carried out beneath the Seagulls wings
Into the legacy of the Joy you bring
Like shimmering leaves amidst the cooling wind
Your tears are like to others as a gift
Of beauty and movement in their stirring souls
So that they might empath in your distress
And move themselves along the path your tears create
And in the salt are galaxies atomic
Every blink you give commands the waves
And every tear that falls is like a Star
For in your pain the movement of your Soul
Draws out the poison in the form of Salt
"You are not a Drop in the Ocean, you are the Entire Ocean in a Drop"
"The wound is the place where the Light enters you"
- Rumi
"And a woman spoke, saying, Tell us of Pain.
And he said:
Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.
Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain.
And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy;
And you would accept the seasons of your heart, even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your fields.
And you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief.
Much of your pain is self-chosen. It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self.
Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility:
For his hand, though heavy and hard, is guided by the tender hand of the Unseen,
And the cup he brings,
though it burn your lips,
has been fashioned of the clay which the Potter has moistened with His own sacred tears."
- Khalil Gibran, from his book "The Prophet"
